I’m going to keep this brief, but I have to tell y’all about my breakthrough this morning! Queen Beyoncé has released “Break My Soul”, the first single off of her new album Renaissance, and I’m uplifted. Hearing the resonating echoes of Big Freedia yelling “Release your job! Release the stress!” cleared my writers block. Queen Bey sings of exhaustion, stress, and being overworked as she tells everybody that she just quit her job. I could have screamed from elation.

I had no clue that The Great Resignation was coming, but here we are. It’s 2022 and Beyoncé is singing about workplace issues and insomnia!!!
